🐠 VIVOSUN 400GPH Submersible Pump: Efficient and Quiet Water Pump for Fish Tanks, Ponds, and Hydroponics Review

Wow. Small pump, but powerful! I am currently using it as a drip feeding system for my plants at 1-2 gallons but it can definitely do more. super quiet. It's also the perfect pump size for a DIY cloner.

This water pump exceeded all my expectations! Very quiet and strong. It feels solid and the removable suction cup mounting plate is a nice touch. The kit also includes 2 hose connectors of different sizes. It can be used to pump water in or out of a tank and also as a circulation pump.

Three problems: First, the plug is only two-pin, ie there is no grounding. I am not comfortable with having a submersible electronic component that is not grounded. Second, the wire isn't as long as the wire on the pump I replaced. Third, in my application, the water buoyancy of this pump is less than 3 feet, which is barely enough. It works well but don't expect a fountain.

This is a great pump but I replaced my 120gph with this and it was too powerful and shot water a few inches up into the fountain which was just fine should overflow. I had to return due to this but wanted to leave a good review. Some reviews said it was grossly overpriced, but judging by my 120 GPH pump that came with the fountain (which I think could also be overpriced) it seemed right.

Absolute fraud! Please do not buy! My fountain pump died after 15 years and I've been thinking about replacing that old pump with this pump. The paper says 400 gph and the old pump says 200 gph. It can't be that this pump is 400 gallons per hour. Most likely 80 GPH max and not working for me. I was amazed at all these positive reviews until I took a closer look. For example, Alexander Fierro only has 4 reviews, and all 4 reviews are for the Vivosun product. The list goes on.

This was a great water pump - we were on holiday for 10 days and needed to water our garden, we hooked up some hoses and leveled the plants and it worked great! We returned home and everything was perfect and vibrant, so I'm happy with the results. We installed a drip system with it and used the WiFi connection so we could access the suction pump at any time to water as much as we wanted. Noise was also minimal.

Bought this pump for my daughter's new 55 gallon aquarium. For maximum circulation, run a 1/2 inch hose diagonally up from the bottom of the tank. This hose is probably about 2 feet long and surprisingly only has 11 watts of power. At 15 watts I was skeptical. lower wattage than most competitive pumps.
