I tried 6 other pairs of swim shorts before I found this one. I have a 3 year old grandson who enjoys surfing with me - the Atlantic coast is so rough. You are perfect. I wear size 22 but XL fits great. They mostly stay in place, not going up or down despite being hit by waves, chasing my grandson across the sand or other activities. They have a gusset (required for a clean fit). The 5 inch inseam is short enough for beachwear but not too short to chafe on long walks. They hold you without causing discomfort. Only complaint is they aren't sand proof but I've never had a swimsuit like this one :-) I'll definitely be buying more.
