If your child is between two sizes.
My son seems to be between sizes so I knew it would be a bit big if they were 16 it would fit perfectly. He loves how the drawstring runs all the way down the back, not just the front, and the mesh-lined room is great. It's definitely pool worthy and we'll see how they hold up in the North Carolina ocean.
