This product was purchased specifically to replace the center console cover on a 2010 Honda Pilot. This cover is thicker and stronger than the original leather cover that came with this car. However, the seams of this product do not match anything else in the interior. It's not ugly, it's just unique to see stitching compared to the rest of the car. Besides, it's just a curly piece of leather. It has no adhesives, stretch marks or tabs to help you attach it to the original console. They helped me hold one side while I pulled the skin over the console cover to staple it together. If you don't, it won't fit, and as it's thicker than the original product, you'll need to adjust it well for the lid to snap into place. Installation will drive you crazy trying to glue this cover in place. without first removing the cover. This is very simple - you will need a Phillips screwdriver, open the console cover and remove the four screws on the underside of the cover that hold it in place. Once you have removed the cover, you can attach the new replacement cover. You will also need a construction stapler with low profile staples. At first I tried using strong clamps but they don't go deep enough into the lid to close it. You must place the low-profile brackets exactly where you want them, as there is a very thin line between the hard plastic base, which keeps the brackets from sinking, and the foam rim, which provides just enough support for the brackets . Once the lid was attached I trimmed some of the excess skin to make it easy to replace the lid. Overall I recommend this replacement cover if your console's skin is as cracked as mine. only intended for beginners who want to do a little tinkering, or for those with more know-how. It's not just a stretchy sleeve to slip over your old console and walk away. It took us more than 20 minutes to install.
