I purchased this item to use with Chromecast with a Google TV dongle for easy storage. I use it with a SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.1 flash drive. It is excellent for this purpose and its color matches CCwGTV in Snow. It's also very light, so it doesn't put too much strain on the Chromecast's HDMI cable. There aren't many USB-C OTG cables to choose from other than big, heavy multi-port "port extenders" (I tried using one of those port extenders I had lying around and got a warning from Chromecast that there was not enough electricity available). I chose this model for its color, small size, light weight, and claimed USB 3.0 compatibility. The UltraFit stick I use with it is fast, so I wanted an OTG cable that wasn't a bottleneck. That being said, I can't tell you whether or not the Chromecast with Google TV is actually capable of transferring data at USB 3.0 speeds over this cable, but launching apps from a flash drive seems fast enough. The power cord and power supply included with CCwGTV ensure trouble-free operation. In fact, I have a 2015 Samsung TV that provides enough power through the USB port to power this combo.
