Review on πŸ₯€ Fellow Carter Everywhere Travel Mug: Wide Mouth Stainless Steel Tumbler with Ceramic Interior - Matte Black, 16 oz Cup by Mike Anderson

Plastic lid doesn't protect against odors

This travel mug retains heat almost as well, if not as well, as a swell bottle! It's also airtight, but my big question is, what's the point of covering the inside with ceramic to preserve the taste and smell if you don't do the same with the lid? So it's only taste and odor resistant if you don't let it tip over at all and use the leakproof feature. It doesn't fit in a cup holder, so it's not possible. Not only is the cap not ceramic-coated, the thread is also made of plastic. I understand why the threads can't be ceramic coated, but the inner cap can be, and the cap threads must be stainless steel. I have water bottle caps made this way. I don't understand why a $35 company can't put a stainless steel clasp on it. It's a decent thermos, but it doesn't do the ONE job I bought two for! I wish I could return them, I wouldn't pay $35 for them if they weren't smell proof. Attached are photos of the Fellow cap (soaked in soap/lemon juice to get rid of the smell), my stainless steel water bottle cap (also bought from Amazon and fits most wide-mouth bottles, recommended!) and the cap of my collapsible water bottle Water bottle Que. , which is basically a smaller version of what a Fellow cap can and should be. If you're just looking for a thermos to throw in your lunch bag so you can have your afternoon coffee or tea hot and ready, this is great! If you're looking for an odor resistant travel mug, this isn't it. Simply rinse the thermos thoroughly when you're done and remove the lid as soon as possible to avoid odor build-up.
