Update, update and edit universal pen holder. I love that and the scancut and all the accessories.

I just received the Brother Scanncut CAUniPHL1 universal pen holder. I read the instructions and tried 9 different types of markers in my craft kit. UPDATE AGAIN. Brother has posted a fix on the Facebook Scancut USA YouTube page. Firstly, do not throw away information about the instructions and do not throw away the packaging that contains the UPH, which also has instructions on the back. The solution is to take a Bic pen, or a pen that is too thin for the UPH, and line it up with the pen size drawing on the instruction paper. There are two specific places you want to increase. . Then use masking tape to extend the two spots with the handle. Watch the video, it shows you exactly how to do it and it's really very good. Masking tape won't hurt or damage anything, so it can actually be used. That's very good news because now if you have a grip that's too thin and close the small dial, the grip will slip as soon as you take it off the stand. Now you know what to do and yes, you can use almost any pen or marker in your craft stash. It's really very good that Brother took the time to clarify this for us consumers. I am very happy with the solution and it is good. Just make sure you wrap the masking tape carefully if you want the tape to be nice and clean. I think masking tape can be anywhere from 1/2" to 5/8" wide, you don't need really wide masking tape. Watch the video on Facebook scancut usa. Plus a video of Julie using the universal pen holder, both very helpful. UPDATE: Check out Julie Fay Fan Balzer's video on how to set up this button. I'm making a solution because now I can use the pencils I have in my craft stash. I can use Tulip Fabric Markers Cra-z-Art Glitter Marker The Pilot G-2 05 I didn't put it on my list. It's ok, I can use it. It's just a black ink ballpoint pen. Sanford varsity ball fine. I found this in my fundus and tried it out. That works great. A promotional pen for a local business near me. I don't know who makes this pen with no name. At least now I have five to use. Yes, these are just random pens I have at home. The other grips listed are either too thick or too thin for UPH. I will change it and list what counts as fat or thin. To my disappointment none of them matched UPH. Here is a list of what I have tried. Crayola fabric markers too. FatTulip fabric marker. Now I know how to insert them. paste them. Spectrum Noir I knew they wouldn't work if they weren't cylindrical. They are irregularly shaped and too big. Bic Ultra Round Stic Grip Pen Too Thin Use Tape Normal Bic Pen Too Thin Use Tape Creative Coloring Marker. Too thick. I think this universal pen holder will work with a competitor's pen/marker punch machine, but I'm not sure as I don't have it. I also think it might work with Sakura Gelly pens again but not sure as I don't have them. There are instructions for using UPH. From the length of the width and the tip there is also information about what size in mm can be used. However, when I look through all my writing instruments, there is no numeric size listed apart from the word "good". The instructions say you can use many of the pens you have. It's five stars because it's new and because it fits my Brother Scanncut CM550DX. UPH is what we all Scanncut fans have been waiting for. Plus for the price. I'm happy to see the price I paid here, or less than what I paid. I paid 19.99 plus VAT. It would be nice if they listed the brand or manufacturer of the pen/marker that could be used along with the dimensions of the pen/marker. I think it would be a little more compatible with what one could have on hand and either buy a set of pens/markers that are provided by the manufacturers so they are ready to use these and take the guesswork out of the consumer work on it. In time, maybe they will. I myself was looking forward to using it with my Sharpie Metallic Markers. These are gray fine point markers with a black cap. They write beautifully on cards. There are thinner sharpie markers that I think can be used with or without tape. Since Brother shows how to fix the thin handle issue, I don't think my UPH will be in the pocket of my scanned bag. Universal Scancut Pen Holder and enjoy the ability to use many different pens/felt pens as well as the small pens that are supplied or purchased for SCANNCUT machines. Always compare prices to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck here, on Amazon or elsewhere. I love it and am now looking forward to using the UNIVERSAL PEN HOLDER with my fabric markers and will be buying a nice set of colored markers and some very good metal markers. I love my brother Scanncut and I brag about it. wherever and whenever I am. If I believe in a product, I recommend it to anyone interested in that particular product. With all that being said, WAY BROTHER. They had a great idea and did a great job on the new scanncut2, the new universal pen holder and all the new accessories you have for your scanncut machines. Thank you for everything you have created. Takes my craft to a whole new level. faun
