I live on the Washington/Idaho border and was pleasantly surprised to see this stuff converted to Peck. I bought these for my work boots in Georgia for office use only and occasional use at work. Not heavy use at all. The boots were new and slightly scratched. I applied LP and it darkened the skin a bit but removed the scuffs. Sometimes I get worn out and a quick touch up will make the boots look perfect again. I preheated the oven to 200 degrees, put the boots in for about 10 minutes, then took them out and applied LP. My skin absorbed everything like a sponge. Then place the boots back in the oven for a few minutes to "cure" a bit. Last night I used it on my daughter's Bear Paw snow boots which she complained about not being waterproof. They are mostly black with a thin band of smooth leather around the top of the sole. I only applied LP to smooth skin. I touched the suede in a few spots and it wasn't good. Don't try this on suede! I wore my work boots in heavy snow and they didn't seep through. They are not advertised as waterproof and LP has been working to make them waterproof. Things. It smells like honey and is wonderful. But that worried me a little. Will my dog be tempted to chew on my boots? Not yet. But do I really want that thing on my hiking and hunting boots in Bear Forest? I think I will.
