I've had the Oral B electric toothbrush for almost 9 years now and the battery is finally dead. I swore by my Oral B the entire time, even though my wife used Sonicare. When Oral B died I decided to give Sonicare a try and could always get another Oral B if I didn't like it, but now I've switched to Sonicare completely! The first time I used Sonicare the experience was almost brutal, but when I finished I was AMAZED at how much cleaner my teeth were! The difference was day and night (I turned off the easy start feature which starts off with less power for your first few brushes to discourage you as I just wanted to jump right in so it's my fault.). In Oral B's defense I suspect the battery has been draining by the time I get my new Sonicare so everything will feel like an improvement, but even when my Oral B was new my teeth never felt anywhere near clean like they do with Sonicare. If my Sonicare lasts as long as my Oral B, that's a great investment!
