This is not a POE splitter

I figured it would go through the 48v POE and split the 5v power supply. It actually takes 48V POE and drops it to 5V and only transmits data. So for a Raspberry Pi it's great, but running an existing POE camera and adding a second IOT device with 5V WiFi support won't work.
