Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Ready for Adventure: Etnies Scout Sneaker – A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Durability by Dustin Keller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

for fashion not function

I've been wearing these shoes for 6 weeks now and until week 5 I was looking forward to wearing them. Soft and comfy, SO light, decent arch for my semi-flat feet. I was even tempted to wear them outside of work. But in the end I'm glad I didn't. These were my work shoes for 37 hours a week. I work as an assistant in the circus, so basically I ran/walked all the time. No weightlifting. carpet and asphalt surfaces. up and down stairs. I average 15,000 steps a day in these shoes. By week 5 I developed a tiny blister on the ball of my foot, but I ignored it. Then last week, week 6, I got a HUGE blister in the same place. I look into my shoe and see that there is an insole. crushed. There's a huge piece of foam and another one is on the way. Right where the blister formed on my leg. *faceplam* Given the price I figured I could wear them for more than 6 weeks. Especially since these are skateboard shoes; I thought they could use a little beating, you know? But I think they are meant more to complement the shoe's rotation. Bottom Line: These are smart, attractive shoes for light or casual wear, but don't wear them if you're going to be active. Photos of soles and insoles are attached.

Pros
  • Shaft just below arch
Cons
  • Vulgarity
