If you're buying a 12-inch tire, you're probably buying it for a kid's bike. If your child rides a 12-inch bike, they are most likely using training wheels. Training wheels accelerate the destruction of your child's rear wheel as they learn to brake by frequently locking up the rear wheel and the rear wheel does not make full contact when supported by the training wheels. This rear tire is consumable and does not require high speed, traction or impact resistance. This tire is inexpensive, easy to install and serves its purpose perfectly. I had more expensive tires and they don't last longer. Some of them lasted less if they were traffic oriented.
