This projector was a gamble but it was worth it. Buying a projector is overwhelming. There are so many options ranging in price from $80 to $3,000. It had good reviews, cost a few hundred dollars, and had the features I was looking for; mostly 1) outdoor use, 2) 1080p minimum, 3) built-in Android, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Setup was very easy and I bought this mount - the Vivo White Universal Adjustable Ceiling Projector - to hang from the ceiling of our sun deck. The bracket was easy to install and fit this projector. Let's look at some of the key features one by one: 1) Outdoor use. Most of the day our sun deck is in the shade. Of course, the picture is great at night, but it's also pretty clear during the day. A little lighter, but good enough to still enjoy the midday sport. 2) Start. My setup method is a bit cumbersome, but of course there is a better way. When it is on, there is a switch on the back and you need to remove the lens cap. These two actions usually move the projector a bit, which means I have to re-align it with the screen every time I turn it on. Then switch on the device with the remote control. Then navigate to HDMI 2 to get to the Revain TV Stick. 3) Recover Fire? But I thought it was Android built in? It does, but I ran into a few problems here. I watch Hulu most of the time and the Hulu app crashes every time I try to download it. The second problem is that it takes forever to enter the username and password. I'm not the type to use simple passwords, which means logging into everything is a tedious process. Wrapping the keyboard greatly speeds up the work. In other words, if I want to type A and then L, I'm actually going to L using the quickest left path. In this setup, I need to use the keyboard to go to L and then back to Q. A small inconvenience for honestly and simply deal with using another video source. 4) Bluetooth Connection - Easy to set up and works great. I've been using the internal speakers for a few days while trying to decide on the right external speaker. The internal speakers are quite good for watching TV or playing sports. No, it won't have depth or be heard with a lot of background noise, but it was more than enough on our quiet sunny porch. I would say it looks like a regular TV speaker rather than a soundbar or any special setup. I went with the new Sonos Move and it works great. 5) Customer Service. When I first set it up, I couldn't get the projector's speakers to work. I contacted customer service but as it was a Saturday night I figured I wouldn't get a response so read the instructions (I know it's the other way around). The book explains that the problem was changing the audio settings on the Fire TV. I did that and it worked great. The support team replied within a few hours and Yolanda was very nice and helpful. She has also taken on my role of helping other clients with similar problems. She then offered to send me a 100 inch projector screen free of charge which she said was supposed to come with the projector but it wasn't. It was a very pleasant and just reliable service to ensure I am completely satisfied with the customer. Overall I am very happy with this projector. and i love to watch movies and sports outside with my family now. I definitely recommend this company and this particular projector!
