Replaced front and rear shock absorbers on an E450 Class C. I checked the Bilstein website before purchasing. Note that when ordering Class C shock absorbers are specified for short and long wheelbase vans/Class C for the E450. Make sure you order the correct damper for your wheelbase. Plus, changing shocks on any E450 whose front lower mounts are welded to the body is no walk in the park. The driver's side is the worst. My husband modified some of the tools to get the job done. I also had to sharpen the bottom 12-3 o'clock washer so it wouldn't bang against the frame. Shock absorbers must be compressed before installation (stainless steel wire is used). After doing that, taking a breather, and enlisting my help to get to the top of the shock (my arms are smaller), he finally turned on the DS discharge. The passenger side was easier because we had a scientific installation process. The rear shocks seemed like nothing compared to the front ones. When he was done, he removed the zip ties from the rubber protectors, lifted them up, and tightened them again because they were all flat. I'm not a mechanic. I'm only describing what I've observed with my husband, so don't criticize my "technical" wording.
