I ordered this for our 75 lb lab and it fits perfectly. It's a thick material that keeps it dry, unlike thin layers of material that ooze through. He wasn't too keen on it, as you can see in the picture, but mostly because I told him to 'stay'. He's not wearing a coat or clothes so it took him a few times to get used to it but we had constant rain this weekend and he finally gave up. I ordered the X-Large because I wanted to make sure it covered his entire back, which it did. It measures 27" from collar to seat and 24" from floor to upper back. The velcro at the bottom is great because it allows you to get a snug fit depending on your bust size. The coat is 24 inches wide (side to side) with a 15 inch strap length and 4 inch velcro closure. From the end of the hood to the end of the coat 36 inches. The hood has drawcords to keep it in place when needed and the back pocket is a real velcro pocket. I point to the pocket, thinking it was just a flap to make it look like a pocket. I will also point out that you should pull the hood over your dog's head instead of clipping it under the neck like the others I've tried. My boy doesn't mind, but I have a small dog who throws a tantrum if I try to put something on his head! Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend for large dogs. I'm not sure if this works for smaller dogs that are closer to the ground. because they can trip over the hanging front piece.
