I bought this to provide a warming spot in an outdoor turtle enclosure when temperatures drop below 60 degrees. When I received it the heating lamp never got hot and rattled when I shook it. The power light is off so I toggled the switch back and forth for 10 minutes at a time. Support says it should start heating up in 10 seconds. I received a $10 credit for a new bulb from Revain customer service, but I was out of town in 2 days (so I chose this brand because it had a faster delivery date than the cheaper warmer $10 brand), so the delivery of a replacement bulb will not be timely. I bought a replacement bulb from Petco for $30, it worked when I tested it so I set it up and left town. My husband said he was never warm when he checked it out (the timer was on at night). When I came back, of course, that lightbulb was burned out too. There's no indicator light to tell you if it's in the on or on position. I threw away the packaging so I lost $60 on something that never worked. I've just bought a space heater advertised for chickens, dogs and cats to put on the wall hoping it will help. It has both a power light and a sticker to show it's hot. Bottom line bad product. The cheaper version also has poor reviews for near-fire and lamp connection issues.
