Review on πŸš€ Spectre Performance Air Intake Kit SPE-9034: Boost Horsepower and Torque for 2015-2020 FORD/LINCOLN (F150, F150 Raptor, Expedition, Navigator) by Jim Cox

Didn't actually work with a 2018 Ford F-150. sent back.

My general comment on the Specter Performance air intake kit is a sigh and a shrug. I installed it - easily with minimal instructions and tools. I let it run for a few days and didn't notice much improvement to be honest. So a few things. I tested this kit on a 2018 Ford F-150 Turbo 2.7 Ecoboost with a 6" lift. I also live in the Arizona desert and tested this in June when it was almost 110 degrees outside. We all know that hotter air negatively affects engine performance. So in the Arizona desert, all I got was hot air. Even so, after installing the kit, I didn't notice any noticeable difference in either performance or fuel economy. Of course, they don't promise better fuel economy, but I haven't seen any real difference in performance. Maybe there was something, but I didn't have a chance to measure it. As far as I know it did the job, but I couldn't tell without the right measuring tools. The engine growls a bit more on this kit, but honestly I don't care about the noise. Instead I sent the kit back and got a K&N filter that went in the old spot. It seems to have slightly compromised performance and fuel economy compared to this kit. Also, it was a lot cheaper than this kit. Overall I am neither satisfied nor disappointed. I shrug my shoulders resolutely. Make it what you want.
