Review on ๐Ÿ“Š Accurate Data Tracking and Versatile Control: Cateye Enduro CC-ED400 Computer by Andre Pendergrass

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Robust, reliable and economical computer. The mount is still poorly constructed.

After years of use and general love for my CatEye Enduro 8 bike computers I had to replace them as the poor design of the mounting brackets eventually led to corrosion and cable connection failure. The new enduro is better overall. One button operation on the front and one adjustment knob on the back make it more intuitive than previous versions. The screen is better and the mount can be attached to either the steering wheel or the stem. However, the mount is still the weakest part and I wish CatEye had charged a few bucks more and included a much better mount. The wired receiver has a sticky backing that wears off and doesn't attach well to the narrow front fork. It will definitely not withstand the elements and is not suitable for a new installation. Unlike other brands of computers, there is no seal between the mount and the computer, meaning moisture will eventually cause this structure to fail like the old Enduro/Mity 8 did. But overall this is the best and most economical bike computer. . You can buy, and it avoids the need to swap out two sets of batteries or the risk of wireless computers failing during travel.
