Review on Vintage Lift Arm Tobacco Pipe Lighter with Tamper & Pick - Elegant Chrome Design by Jill Parrott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought specifically for lighting tubes

Received today and very pleased so far. I turned the throttle setting to low and checked. I had to turn two full turns for the flame to appear, I did this half a turn at a time. Didn't find the adjustment very accurate as a quarter turn was the difference between a good flame and too much gas, which (thankfully) didn't work. ignite. But now that I know, I can deal with it. The first four or five tries, although the lighter worked on the first hit, the flame was too yellow and sooty, there was a smell of burnt oil, and soot settled on some parts of the lighter. lighter. During testing, I didn't leave the lighter on for more than 6 seconds each time to avoid possible overheating. Now the lighter seems to burn clean, but I'll give it a try before lighting the tobacco with it. manual use. I love the fact that the flame is at an angle to my body when it hits the flint and there is no problem rotating it to roast tobacco while keeping the flip top lid away from the flame. I received the lighter in a brown Revain box. with an ordinary black box (open) and a nylon bag (?) in a nice fabric bag, no instructions. I tried a manipulation/pick tool and found that I had to gently pull the tool until it stopped, then rotate it 90 degrees and it would come out smoothly; turn over to store. I'll take good care of this lighter as it costs hundreds of dollars and while I see no reason why it won't last as long, time will tell. This is what IM Corona Old Boy looks like for this price I am very satisfied…. beautiful.
