I've had this straightener since 2012. Yesterday it finally saved me. It's 7 years old! It says the warranty is 4 years, but it is obvious that the lifespan can be almost twice as long. It heats up very quickly and works well on my thick, long, wavy hair to straighten or curl it. I've had a Remington since I was a freshman in college when I found them at the local pharmacy at the last minute after my more expensive brand failed after 6 months of use and the previous ones didn't last more than a year. My first Remington lasted 5 years and was much older and a base model. The fact that this exact model still exists shows how amazing this product is and is the only brand I will buy.
