You need to machine the cam pressure plate.
You must machine the cam pressure plate to use countersunk bolts. The mechanic did it for me for $5, which was less than what it would have cost to do it myself. You may also need to remove a few thousandths from the cam pressure plate to get the correct cam endplay.
