Suitable for 2x6 ceilings with recessed lights
They work well for 2x6 ceilings. There is about 1/4-1/2" clearance between the top of the lantern and the top of the 2x6. I'm still in the installation phase of my rebuild so I can't say for sure how well they work, but I have a feeling that this is determined more by the surface used than by the body itself.
