Review on ⚡ Enhanced Lithium-Ion Cordless Stapler with Upgraded Portability by Mark Walsh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm a DeWalt snob, this tool is awesome! Bravo Kimo

Overview of Kimo 9418A, 18GA 20V Cordless Brad Nailer/Stapler. What's included? Cordless nailer/tacker, carrying case, operating instructions, charging station, one 20 V (2.0 Ah) Li-ion battery, nails Qty. 700; 1-5/8”, staples 300 pieces; 1-5/8” and allen wrench (not shown). Why not 5 stars? Three "small" reasons for losing 1 star. The box it came in was unsealed. This led me to believe that I was missing something which I am not, but yes seal the box. Second, the carry case prevents the nailer/tacker from sitting flush with the bottom of the case, especially when the nails/staples are placed in the internal compartments. Finally, there is no tactile click or fixation when inserting the battery into the charging station. I'm a DeWalt supporter, maybe I just assumed that's always the case? In general, these are small things, but I'm overly critical, so I'll give an overview. Now why it probably deserves five stars. It worked perfectly right out of the box! I charged the battery for an hour and then fastened it with Bostitch 18GA 5/8" nails. I had a piece of doorstop that needed some love and the depth was already up to the task. (10 clicks less than the maximum depth on the drive depth dial.) I liked it so much that I went ahead and repaired two more door frames that had been affected by the change of seasons. (incredibly old house) I purposely started with the smallest nails, believing that if he had feeding problems it would quickly disappear. Not a single misfire, ejection, nothing. I certainly don't miss hearing the compressor! (Or get tangled in the hose.) As you might imagine, there is extra weight to deal with when using pneumatic tools. For example from Glock to 1911. Please note that these are observations from day one. I assure you if it doesn't continue to give me so much pleasure using it I'll come back and let you all know. FYI this was my first Kimo product but unless the future pleases me it won't be my last. Very satisfied! Sorry DeWalt, I just can't justify $300 or more for something I don't use often. I hope this was helpful to someone.
