Sound Problems and No Built-in Picture Adjustment for Mac - Skip This Cheap Option and Buy Another

Serious Sound Problem! If you care about how you sound, choose a different topic. I bought this Lifecam webcam from Microsoft to use with my Mac as a webcam add-on for zooming and Skype calls while I work. Amid the COVID crisis, I'm on video calls all day. Immediately after purchase, my colleague on an early call noticed a constant high-pitched tone coming from my webcam. I bought an app addon to fix the problem but to no avail. The only workaround is to ditch the built-in microphone entirely and use a separate audio interface and microphone combo. There's no native white balance and no image adjustment, although I bought a cheap Mac App Store app that lets you adjust these features. Cheap and looks like it. After buying the camera, adding an app to make it look decent, and an extra microphone so the audio can be used, I spent the same amount of money I would have spent buying a decent webcam. Skip this guy and buy a nicer option if quality is important to you.
