Review on Eufy EufyCam Solo 2K by Marvin Short

I have several other eufy indoor cameras that don't require a base station so given the new outdoor cameras I decided to try one as I needed to see what pest was eating my plants in the garden. . This camera does the job well. I found out that a pocket gopher is sneaking up in front of me. So I got what I needed this camera for. BUT! This camera only has local storage! No RTSP, unlike other eufy (and other POE) cameras I have. For the version with integrated solar panel, this will be a crucial factor. I suspect that since eufy is battery powered, they decided that RTSP would draw too much power. But their power manager settings give you the option to tell the camera that the camera is connected to a solar panel. If they offered an always-on USB option and then RTSP (assuming the battery never died) it would be a fantastic camera. Almost like running a computer on a backup battery when the device is off.
