Purchased to combine with a meteorometer and ballistic attachment for long range and accurate shooting. I've been playing with it all day since I got it this morning and I have to say I'm pretty darn impressed so far! I was able to consistently move along the tree lines at a distance of about 1464 yards. In scan mode, I was able to measure the distance to a hawk circling overhead three times at 130 yards with the same results. I've acquired several smaller target-sized objects at various known ranges up to 500+ yards and hit within a yard each time. The weather was nice and sunny so I didn't get a chance to test the fog mode and not try the other modes but all I can say is just "wow", for the price I just can't compete! To be perfectly honest, I sometimes had to try multiple times to fix it on a specific object, but hey, at $99 I find that unacceptable. And when it is committed, it returns stable results on multiple consecutive attempts. Now I really wish the device was around $1000 and had a range of up to 2000 yards, but since I rarely get the opportunity to shoot that far anywhere close by I just can't justify spending so much bucks im spend moment. I'll have to test it on a few isolated objects to get a better idea of beam divergence, but in the meantime if this device holds up and continues to perform well I'll be a happy camper for now.
