These are the best pencil sharpeners for classroom use! They sharpen just as well as electric sharpeners, last longer and are virtually silent! They even hold the pen in place and attach to the table, leaving your hands free to rotate/hold on the table. Oh, and they don't break the bank! You must empty the bowl as soon as it is full to avoid sharpener jamming and teach students how to use them properly as they are different from other manual sharpeners. As long as you do both, they will stick with you for a long time! My only complaint is that when the compartment overflows, it's difficult to get the pencil shavings out of the compartment without emptying the entire sharpener into the bin. . It's not a big deal for personal use, but can get messy in the classroom. I keep a napkin beneath me to brush off the occasional pencil shavings that don't come out clean.
