Stay Sharp: Pencil Sharpener

I've been using mine in first grade for over a year and they're still sharp. Children can learn how to use them very easily. I wish they were easier to attach to the table. The included clamp comes loose after a single use. I taught my students how to hold the tip of the sharpener so they don't get pinched again. They've lasted longer than any of the three or so electric sharpeners I've bought for my class in the past.

This is the best! Best pencil sharpener

This sharpener will not disappoint! He puts a dot on the end of a pencil like I've never seen before! (even cheap pencils). The only problem I had was that it tends to detach from students' desks. (I tightened with my finger, not pliers.) But it holds up pretty well as long as my students hold it with their hand while sharpening. My third graders have no problem turning the knob! It's very quiet and the kids love it! Excellent purchase!

So far so good

So far so good. Last time I bought another brand and the part that holds the pen tension came loose. Students keep asking me to sharpen their pencils with this sharpener. I read reviews that this sharpener leaves tooth marks on the pencil. It left a few small scratches but that just proves to me that it holds the pencil securely. I'll update the review once the kids get their hands on it to see if it holds up.

Perfect for use in the classroom!

These are the best pencil sharpeners for classroom use! They sharpen just as well as electric sharpeners, last longer and are virtually silent! They even hold the pen in place and attach to the table, leaving your hands free to rotate/hold on the table. Oh, and they don't break the bank! You must empty the bowl as soon as it is full to avoid sharpener jamming and teach students how to use them properly as they are different from other manual sharpeners.
