Review on Timeless Elegance: Abong David Wooden Gear Clock - A Must-Have for Classic Décor by Brad Schillings

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Second purchase disappointed

After trying four times to contact the Tru Inertia seller to purchase replacement plates, I sent the whole set back. The replacement kit must have been the so-called 2nd. The holes in the front frame were drilled in the wrong places. Either the bearings don't fit, or the axles are crooked. Gear #3 does not move at all as the misalignment causes the other gears to deform. I stuck straws into the axles so I could insert the axles into the bearings while trying to assemble the frame. The pendulum doesn't swing. It will be a good decoration on my wall. But I will never buy from Tru Inertia again. There is a 5 part video on how to put it together which I followed and the set goes together nicely. So I thought if I connect the parts perfectly with the pins everything will be fine. It's a shame because I was so looking forward to this set. IS IT EXPENSIVE

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • When in doubt
