This product can be used for what I need but not exactly what I was looking for. It's more my fault; nothing wrong with the product. The spiral is solid; does not break and the ends are sealed. Paper moves freely/flips slightly. The sides are the same size and thickness. For the size of notebook I wanted, this seemed like the best deal. - Pages are thinner than expected. This may or may not be a problem for others. It is thin enough to be used for tracing in sufficient light. Cardboard backing is flimsy and flimsy. You will need a flat surface to rest the pad on during use and for storage. I would store it horizontally/parallel to the ground.
