We were thrilled when we found this! We have a beautiful patio set that we love. Except for the disgusting creaking of the chairs when you pull them out from behind the table. The legs are flat, rounded, rectangular metal with a hard plastic cap. Nothing fits or sticks to it. I love these protectors! They have stretched, fit snugly and the pillow is a good thickness. Our patio chairs glide gently across the floor with a soft whisper. We loved it! .for a whole week. Tonight we had friends over for a picnic. After that I would look at the average movement of six people sitting, getting on and off to service the grill, load plates, refresh drinks, etc. Each of our six chairs has at least one cracked tread. Big disappointment. ☹️ I think the hard plastic cap cuts through the silicone under stress from the weight of the body sliding off the back of the chair. They may last longer on a differently shaped chair leg.
