Review on TiVo AG0100 Wireless Network Adapter by Eric Surabhi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I LOVE the "G " adapter vs the "N " adapter

The "G" adapter works fine! No delays in online streaming or broadcasts. Just one cable to the Tivo USB port. Where "N" needs a maze of wires to power N, then another wire to the NETWORK tivo port. So much cable clutter and no real performance advantage over a G adapter. And G is half the price of N. If you need a tivo wireless adapter, stop at G. I stream online and stream HD video between my two Premiere tivo. The G-adapter transmits quickly and I can start the current broadcast immediately. So just stick with the G adapter and save money and get rid of the clutter of cables you have with the N adapter.I got a second G adapter for my second tivo premiere and now only use my N adapter on my LG HDTV. The N adapter is essentially a wireless power delivery device. I assume you can use the N adapter to connect any network device that isn't wireless per se but has a network connector plug. The tivo N adapter can access your wireless N home network, and the N network cable can be connected to any device with a network port, making that device wireless. So now I only use my tivo N adapter on my LG HDTV and not alone. I use "G" adapters on my two tivo Premier devices. Everything works perfectly! G.1 USB cable adapter, excellent function. Setting Up the Tivo Menu on the G Adapter The N Adapter must FIRST be connected to the computer's network port on the PC (or Mac) to set the Wi-Fi security passwords. The G adapter is much more reasonable and convenient to use. The PC did not require a G-adapter setup. Everything is done from the Tivo adapter's menu.
