I like this filter, especially compared to the cheaper version. This prevents ice from getting into your drinks, making the shot process smoother. Most people won't notice the difference, but you as a bartender will. I got my friends to give me a test run so they could see the difference between ice cream and drinks and yes they did as soon as I was pointed out. I wouldn't use this for some martinis because I personally like lots of ice crystals on mine, so I'd probably switch to a strainer with fewer spirals.
