For pumping oil into containers. Filling a 5 liter jug (using the hoses provided) takes approximately 7.5 minutes. I suspect if you change the tubing to the same size on both sides it would leak faster. I just set the timer and do other things while it's pumping. If you use it with a 12V battery, it will run slower than, for example, a car with the engine running (12.8V vs. 13.9V). If I had a DC power supply installed where I'm pumping, I would just turn it on at 14V.
