Bought to replace a Bialetti that was overheated and damaged. At this point, all parts of this "Sisitano" mocha pot appear to be interchangeable with the 6-cup Bialetti, but the parts are not identical clones. The design of the plastic handle isn't as sophisticated as the Bialetti. The Sisitano grip has an obvious cast seam, and the shape of the grip is blocky and less ergonomic compared to the Bialetti. It's not immediately noticeable in use, but it's easy to spot when comparing them side-by-side. The difference lies in the ground espresso cup. It is much smaller than the Bialetti and holds less espresso. Sisitano has a smaller diameter stem. The stem length is the same, but with the smaller body, the bowl doesn't reach as deep into the boiler tank as the Bialetti. Sistano has 10mm less cooking length and that can make a difference. The country of origin is not specified, unlike Bialetti which is made in Italy. . I would buy again despite my concerns that the espresso cup is significantly different from the Bialetti and may give inferior results. Beans and grist are likely to make a bigger difference, so put your savings on them!
