I wish they made it out of a little more durable material. One of my "latches" (holding the two pieces together) keeps popping out, but there are many more that hold it together properly. I can use rivets or small screws to hold the two pieces together more tightly. Overall I am very happy with the pet door. This is an innovative design that makes it quick and easy to insert a pet door directly into our sliding screen door. Before installing this cat, they scratched the screen (and the spline that holds the screen) and attempted to create their own "secret passageway" through our screen door. Now both the cat and the dog use it - it only took them a few hours to figure out how to work with it. I like that it is easy to install and provides a quick solution to our problem. I didn't have to install a solid panel or cut a hole in the wall to install a pet door. It's surprisingly light and easily opens/closes without damaging the rest of the shielding material.
