Review on Genuine Subaru H631SFJ101 Tweeter Kit by Luis Adu

Direct plug and play for 2015 Legacy. A great upgrade from the original paper cone speaker on my Premium trim level. Note: Only ONE of the two mounting screws will fit. I've found that one screw is enough to hold the tweeter in place, so I agree. Just understand again that only ONE screw will hold it. This thing is probably a lot more efficient (more responsive) than the OEM speaker, so the high frequencies sound better even with the stock head unit. I switched to those tweeters and replaced the door speakers with more sensitive two-way speakers that seem to work well together. I don't know how it will sound with standard speakers. As with any speaker, how much you enjoy it depends on what you're listening to. I find that tweeters do a good job of enhancing talk radio (which I listen to 90% of the time) but I need to drop the high frequency response a bit for other music so it doesn't sound harsh. I don't fret about this because I had to adjust the low end of the EQ all the way to keep the new door speakers from sounding annoyingly boomy. As with anything, YMMV, because your tastes may differ from mine. I'm very pleased and really wanted to post the information I could NOT find, which is that they are plug and play electric (no adapter required) but one of the two mounting screws isn't even remotely aligned.
