Works like a dream to prevent ticks from biting my dogs. Much more effective than any top-of-the-line product, but be careful of two things: 1) don't put it on a dog who likes to chew and ruin collars; it is NOT radiopaque and the pesticide is not food grade! If you have a cat in your house that enjoys grooming your dog, DO NOT use this collar for the same reason. 2). Watch out for irritation of your dog's throat for the first two weeks after use. Many years ago I introduced my 15 week old pup to one of these (the box says 'OK' when the pup is 12 weeks old); A week later she got ulcers so I took the collar off and let it heal and when she was 6 months I tried again and everything was fine. This product prevents ticks from attaching themselves to your dog; You can find them on your dog, they don't move or roam, but are not attached. The product remains active when the dog gets wet or goes swimming, but take it off when bathing and put it back on when the dog is dry again. It doesn't work on fleas, so you'll need to use a variety of flea medications.
