Don't let the name of this thing fool you, the composition of this mug appears to be some kind of hybrid. between rubber and plastic. The cup is more ribbed than I thought it would be, which is actually a pleasant surprise. At the same time, I know I can drop this thing straight onto concrete from multiple floors and it won't break, which is why I chose it over a traditional ceramic mug. That doesn't mean I'm worried about dropping it during use, the grip and grip of this mug is excellent. I'm more worried about it sliding off the shelf in my shower.
