I had a pannier that was fine but no side pockets. The Arc bag has 2 side pockets and plenty of internal space for my riding needs. I place my phone in the top cover on the outside of the top cover and the keys are inserted into the power holder on the inner cover. Velcro straps keep the bag in place even when riding over bumps. I would like it to be waterproof, but I'll keep the bag without it. The zipper on the top cap has some trouble opening and closing, but after a few times it mostly seems to work if I close it a certain way. I gave it a 4 due to zipper issues. If it wasn't for that I would have given the bag a 5.
