Review on 🚽 Fluidmaster 8300 Flush 'n Sparkle Toilet Bowl Cleaning System with Bleach Cartridge - for effective automatic cleaning by Libby Walker

I bought this because I have a problem with my toilet which pretty spotty is fast . I replaced my toilet about 2 months ago and it has already started to get a brown ring (city water is hard) in the bowl on the water pipe. I received this a few days ago, so this review is based on installation and first impressions only. Installation was a lot easier than I thought and took about 1 minute without reading the instructions. You pull a small rubber hose from the float inside the toilet, put on a new one, attach the unit to the top of the toilet and clamp the other end into the fill tube, then insert the filter cartridge and screw it in place. They have made. I read in another review that it doesn't fit because the lid has ridges to prevent slipping, but I have ridges all over the lid and it still fits perfectly and the lid sits flat. I have a fairly small bathroom and haven't noticed any odors after about a dozen flushes, so I have no complaints so far. I cleaned the toilet completely prior to installation so will update if stains come back. UPDATE: This works surprisingly well after about 1 month. As I said in the original review, almost immediately after installing my new toilet, I started getting stains in the toilet and had to clean it once a week. I cleaned the toilet prior to installing this product and there has been no evidence of a water stain in the past month. I also didn't notice any smells from the water, so I'm very satisfied. My biggest concern was that my dog was drinking from the toilet, but it looks like he's smart enough not to know. I suspect he can smell the chemical smell with his dog nose. Update - 6 months use. It didn't work anymore. At first I thought the cartridge was empty so I bought refills and found the device was clogged with blue goo. After I took it out, cleaned it thoroughly and put in a new cartridge, it still didn't work. I'm not sure what happened because after cleaning I made sure the water was able to flow through normally. When it worked, it worked great. I'm about to order a new one because my toilet clogs up very quickly without it.
