This foam gun works exactly as advertised. I've considered buying a pressure washer and foam maker, but didn't want the extra expense right now ($150 vs. $30). So I decided to try the Foam King foam gun. I think it works great! No, you won't get a thick coating of foam with this foam gun, BUT it will definitely spray a good coating of foam to encapsulate dirt and dust - before you use the wash sleeve. And it saves a lot of time compared to constantly applying soapy water from a laundry bucket with a dish mitt. I set the foam gun to #3 and found that using about 80% of the recommended soap solution was more than enough to wash my Mazda CX-5. And with a somewhat continuous jet, so that the whole machine doesn't foam when you move around in the machine with a washing cuff. The foam gun makes a solid and well-made impression. I've used it three times since buying it and I think it's great. Yes, you'll use a little more car shampoo than just a bucket, but it's worth getting your car completely wet before hand washing. And the quick connect works great - you can just use the water from the hose to flush without unscrewing the plastic tank itself. Just make sure, when you're done, rinse the plastic container thoroughly and run some clean water through a foam gun to rinse off the soap. Should last for many washes. I highly recommend!
