Review on 7200MAh 10.95V Replacement Laptop Battery For MacBook Pro Early 2011, Late 2011 & Mid 2012 A1382 A1286 15 Inch Core I7 by Seth Torres

I don't do reviews often, but after my 30 day experience, and a recent change of battery, I felt compelled to speak on the difference.The product is as easy to install as any other battery. Comes with two cheap but *do the job* screwdrivers that help with the installation. First thing I noticed during and after the calibration period (because you should be calibrating your battery to maximize its life) was that my battery indicator light on the left of my macbook (reading this review you should have a 2011- mid 2012 unibody macbook) was dim, and not working properly. It couldn't get a proper read on the battery even when charged at 100 percent, which, made me a little curious. The laptop was working, though I experienced significant slowdowns at certain times, times that I hadn't before with my old replacement battery (via Ifixit). I use the laptop for audio production work primarily, so to experience these slowdowns in tandem became a pain. Plus to add insult to injury, the kernel function would eventually overload when having the battery charged to 100 percent for any period over 2 minutes, causing near freezing slowdowns via the CPU usage spiking. It was very confusing. Needless to say, I missed the period to return the battery, and out of curiosity, bought anotherIfixit to see if it was more of a logicboard issue, or from the battery. Typing from a newly installed ifixit battery, it just runs way better, just how i remember it running. If you can afford dropping another 40 dollars on a new battery (and you have a proper, 1st party apple charger for the macbook) go ahead and do yourself a favor and buy Ifixit. If you're looking for a temporary solution, don't use heavy applications, or just trying to make it to your next laptop purchase, this may be something you look into. BUT, don't say I didn't warn you about the slowdowns.TL;DR : Unsure if it was a fluke battery or just a "meh" overall product, although it worked, caused overall slowdowns and odd 'mis-functions' on my 2012 unibody. 3/5
