Works for me - generators and portable power supplies

Cannot compare this to any other solar charger as it is the only one I have experience with. And it worked very well for me. We camped on the campgrounds of the national parks, which often have no power outlets. But my wife can't sleep at night without a fan. The camp's battery-powered fans couldn't cope. So we bought this solar array and a portable "power station" (included). In direct sunlight, the solar charger put out a steady 25 to 40 watts of power, which was enough to charge the power station enough to run a regular 110 volt fan all night, which is what we were hoping for. My only "wish" is for it to be waterproof. So we didn't want to leave him unattended. Other than that, it appears to be well built and has endured a week of hard work just fine. Good to know that we can generate electricity ourselves in an emergency.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn
