This hot dog toaster is worth every penny. As other reviewers have said, when you get it, set it to 5 and run it one cycle with no dogs or buns to burn it out, then it's ready to go. I think it helps to flatten the buns a bit so they rest on the heating surface. Also, I like to run it in a loop with dogs and buns, then flip the buns and repeat again. Helps toast buns evenly and keeps dogs warm. Dogs are much tastier when fried than when microwaved or boiled. Cleaning is fairly easy, although wiping down the surface the buns are being toasted on can be a little tricky. I know it looks useless but worth it if you like a good hot dog!
