Review on ๐Ÿพ Sherpa on Wheels Pet Carrier: Convenient Black Rolling Bag for Pet Transportation by Jennifer Johnson

Thumbs up! Great carrier!

Awesome! It was one of the best things I've ever done to take our dog through the airport. Drives very easily! or you can carry it with the top handle. I had the exact same thing but without the wheels. This is much better. We used this on American Airlines (August 2017). .We have flown American Eagle RJ, MD-80 and 737 with no issues. However, on large aircraft you must occupy a MEDIUM seat. If you can try to get additional seats in the main cabin with extra legroom it will definitely help with accommodation under the seats (pay for an upgrade). Our dog is about 18 pounds and is over the maximum recommended size (9.5). "Height from floor to back, 17" long. We made sure that it is fully locked at reception upon check in (they can being picky about allowing the dog to exercise). She did a great job but there isn't much room for a dog this size. We unzipped it so she can stick her head out during the flight. The front also opens so they can stick their heads out. See attached photo of it. center seat. The only complaint is that the dog gets hot in this carrier. Even with all the valves closed, it was warm. We lost our flag on our first flight. I love that the top has a small zippered pocket for a portable water bag (yes, take one), poop bag, and small treats. The insert can be removed for washing. We did a few "test drives" in the area before using it at the airport for the first time. This helped our dog get used to the carrier. We also used small treats as rewards for hitting the aircraft carrier. All in all, the trip to the airport was worth EVERY PENNY.

Pros
  • Trunk dimensions: 20"(L) x 12.25"(W) x 10.5"(H)
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...
