I bought it to use when I was at the hotel for a conference. The room I was in had a terrible "workspace" and wired internet only. Not only did this allow me to work from my bed, but it also allowed me to share a single internet connection with the person I was sharing a room with. I have a netbook, so the installation CD that came with the router isn't suitable, so I couldn't test the one-button connection feature. However, the router was connected and worked for five minutes. Cloning my MAC address so I don't get billed for internet again was a breeze, as was setting up a custom SSID and network key. Since this router only has internet connection, updating the firmware was a bit tricky (because you have to use a wired connection instead of wireless), but following the instructions resulted in a 10-minute process. The device comes with AC and USB power cords, which isn't bad, but if I'm close enough to the router to plug it into a USB port, I'm probably close enough to just connect to the internet. This is still a useful feature if you share a hotel room and want to share your internet connection with one computer at your desk and another in the room. Also note that the setup interface does not always display correctly in Chrome. . I had to use Firefox to see all the buttons. It doesn't matter, it just needs to be considered.
