Review on 🖥️ Walnut L-Shaped Wood Corner Desk for Home Office by SHW by Becky Smith

I recently moved cross country and made the decision not to lug my old, cheap, homemade table that is falling apart to truck yards and instead buy a new one when I get home . new house. Unfortunately I suspect that due to delivery issues due to COVID many shops around me are out of tables or only have ones that were ridiculously expensive as it is now the start of the school year so my options were limited. . I took a chance on ordering this one as it seemed more durable than some of the other homemade ones sold at Target, Walmart etc without being overly expensive. And overall I'm glad I did it. Benefits: • Very easy to assemble - all the necessary tools, parts etc are included and well labeled, the instructions are easy to follow and you don't need to be a carpenter to assemble it. • Extremely durable wood of better quality than the usual 'pressed wood' material that you get yourself. from the big department stores, plenty of screws (also screws, not just hammered nails) to hold it together, extra "spacers" pieces of wood to help with structure, and plastic inserts included in the main sections for extra stability (see ).• The color and texture are very nice - I ordered the ash brown color and it looks very nice and much more realistic than similar models. • Affordable - much cheaper than similar models in big stores and more durable for the price too • Features - love the side shelves and appreciate that you can set it up to sit on either side of the table depending on how and how where you want to install it. • Delivery time - when it seems there aren't enough tables available, I appreciate that I was able to get this in just a few days (and it came earlier than expected). Cons: • The wood was badly scratched (see photos) - Literally every piece, front and back, was basically chipped with small to medium scratches. All parts had multiple sections covering the surface. At first I thought something must have happened in transit, but when I pulled it out and found it was intact and on both sides (especially as it was pretty well packed with styrofoam) it looks like a manufacturing defect. . Definitely frustrating but overall happy with the table. • Shiny particles covering the surfaces after being taken out of the box - I don't know exactly what it is, but there were small "fragments" of some shiny material covering all the surfaces. when I took it out of the box. It is very similar to tiny strands of insulation. I'm not sure what it was and it's not the end of the world, but it ended up engulfing the area while I was setting up the table. (See photo of the material on my arm.) Overall, definitely worth the money and I'm happy with my purchase, especially for the price. Disappointed with all the scratches but that's really the only big issue and it's my fault I don't have time to return it and change the order.
