Works great in our 9500. We did not detect any gas smell as mentioned in previous reviews. I love how it fits snugly into the block with no gaps on the sides. Thus, 100% of the air circulating through your air purifier is cleaned. You can take out the entire supplied filter (grey) and replace it with a new filter (black). According to Winix customer service, the old filter can simply be thrown away because it should no longer be used after a year. Support also advised me to remove my replacement front and rear filters for cleaning every 3 months (the white inner filter cannot be washed, only the front and rear filters). We are very happy with this filter. We have purchased replacement filters from other manufacturers in the past but the sizing has been inaccurate and there are gaps on the sides. This filter is worth paying more for.
