Excellent product, the best quality.

Despite the fact that the lens has been produced for more than 10 years, to this day this model is in demand and relevant. For reporting, I mainly use the 7D crop. Of the features of my copy - out of the box, autofocus was a little smeared on an open aperture. It is corrected by a slight adjustment of the AF by the camera settings by minus 1-2 units. Regarding sharpness, you should not expect fixed-level shots from him, but the shots are quite decent. The center is always sharp, there is a moderate soap at the edges, especially in the lower right corner.

Pros

An indispensable all-rounder for reportage shooting. Reliable, proven over the years construction made of glass and metal. Excellent dual-mode stabilizer and tenacious autofocus.

Cons

Low aperture, tendency to blur on an open aperture. To some, the size and weight may seem excessively large.
